Albeit the belly cannon will have to go.. elsewhere in the wing, they weren't amenable to interrupter gear AFAIR..

Good point! (And I went to such trouble to redraw the belly pack too... ;))

Plenty of room for them in the wings though, with the booms gone.

Nevermind W-ver, keep the preggers belly for fuel, a la BAC Lightning F.6..

Or you could have a 'Cessna P-38' with push/pull engines on the centre nacelle* and big guns in the front of the booms.

*P-40 units maybe? If the purpose was ground-attack, you could do without the superchargers.

I have just such a beastie on the go, but as I've lengthened the cockpit to make it a 2-seater night-fighter, it's stalled due to lack of imagination as to what to use for the canopy...
I think I need to refresh my memory as to what Falcon have in their range...

For the rear engine I used a Hurricane nose and added side intakes, as a chin intake would be a bit pointless - otherwise I'd have used the other P-38 engine.

T33 or F94?  At least they'd be Lockheed...

That's not a silly idea - I will have a peruse.

Thanks for the assist.   ;)

I wasn't imagineering a single boom P38.  I was just throwing it out there for others to have a go at, as I have less than zero interest in the P38.  The only one I had I've just sold on and the recipient is considering RR Griffons for it.

I think I have a drawing somewhere that I did of a Lightning with DB 605s ... it looked very mean, IIRC.     I'll see if I can find it, it's been a while.

No, sorry - no trace of it.   I think I just left it at "if I do this, I'll just use Bf-109 complete fuselages with the cockpits faired over, and use that long central stabilizer."
