1/72 Northrop-Grumman F-23A Grey Ghost

i just started work on an Italeri 1/72 YF-23A, witch i will turn into what will resemble a production machine.
this morning, i started with filing and sanding down the intakes to give it a more theathered look, took me all morning, but i think i got it good.
im gonna look at salvaging 2 droptank halves from an F-16 kit to use as splittercones for the intakes, i already plundered 2 kits for AMRAAMS as the kit appears to be missing them.
im also gonna add an EOTS under the nose, like the F-35.
unit markings will be from a revell F-22A Raptor kit.

i know the intakes dont look quite symetrical, but they were a pain in the A** to file out

UPDATE:

just finished the cockpit tub and the instrument panel this morning,
ejection seat has also been painted, but i might overpaint the yellow ejection handle back to black.
as soon as the cockpit is dry and completed, the 2 fuselage halves will be joined together.

i also found a leftover stencil sheet from a Mistercraft F-16A, might be usefull on the model aswell, as it also comes with decals for the ejection seat.
also, im gonna reduce the number of AIM-120's from 4 to 3, this will free up space for 2 door mounted AIM-9L's

ive made some additional modifications, most notably to the weapons bay doors.
i also reduced the number of AMRAAM's from 4 to 3, this to make room for 2 door-mounted AIM-9 launchers.

after a dryfit, i decided not to repaint the seat, as the ejection handle isnt to visible onece the seat was fitted.
i did have problems with the fitting of the tail, trying to get the angle of the V-tail right and even.

ok, more updates

assembly is almost done, parts for the landing gear are now drying and will be fitted on tomorrow.
meanwhile, the model has recieved its basecoat of medium grey, later this week the camo will be applied.
just finished fitting on the weapons payload.

Update:

main construction is finished, aswell as the primary paintwork, just need to apply a second layer on the camo.
then its time for taping and painting of the white RAM edges and the little exhaust holes.
the main engine exhausts will be kept for last.

Update:

the camo has been applied earlier this week, and today, the nose and edges were taped off for the final paintwork.
had an accident where i accidently broke off one of the sidewinders, but managed to fix it.

That looks pretty darn good, and even more so that it's not an F-22.
