The Avro 722 Atlantic was a delta winged airliner capable of seating 76-133 passengers.
A fellow Whiffer is building his own version of this design.
I have recycled my stretched Airfix1/72 BAe Nimrod and used the wings, engines, vertical tail fin and rear end of the Airfix Avro Vulcan B2.
In order to get the new parts to fit, a lot of the underside of the BAe Nimrod had to be removed. In my haste I added the Vulcan wings +engines upside down. This is a good fit.  With plenty of filler/puty to fill in the gaps. I had to cut the tail fin to fit which now looks like an air intake. A piece of fine mesh will be added or FOD cover.
I have a large wooden stand so no need for the undercarriage to be fitted.
Just need to source some suitable decals and paint scheme.

Been there, done that...

Much easier to scratch a new fuselage.

Thanks,
I knew someone else had built this and thought I'd have a go at recycling two partially built kits.
Slightly different than the photo in the book, those pictures look great

I've got an idea for the 1/72 HP Victor, to do something similar.
