Honduras air force Rockwell T-2E Buckeye

All training aircraft within the Honduras air force have to have the capability of carrying defensive/offensive weaponry, and the old Buckeye is no exception. The aircraft as well as teaching new pilots also takes part in counter insurgency training and weapons training. This aircraft is armed with practice bombs and rockets along with a pod for a simulated sidewinder missile for self defense. The aircraft is capable of carrying small bomb loads rockets and gun pods, and short range aam's on the 6 weapons stations that can be fitted 
This is the old matchbox kit in 1/72nd scale, and although crude, it was fun to build even if the tail wings would not stay level

Love the camo and its contrast to the dayglo wingtips. The red stripe at the demarcation is a nice touch. Also, nice to see a trainer that is actually carrying a training load, and multi-role at that
