Whilst I was looking in my various spare parts boxes I came across the 1/72 Roden An-12 BK Civil Cub model and replacement wheels set.
The An-12 is the military version of the
An-10, it's counterpart being the Lockheed C-130.
There are loads of various variations in the Real World or in Whiffland to choose from, although I haven't come across any reference that the Russian Air Force used the An-12 in the AEW & C role. It would appear that China has adapted the  Xi'an
Y-8 transport and modified it for trials with their version of the Erieye AEW system the Y-8W/KJ-200.
As a backup aircraft to the KJ-200 , a Y-8 was fitted with a rotating radome (Y-8CE), this was sold to the Pakistan Air Force as the ZDK-03.
I intend to do my own design based on a solid nosed An-12 with the rotodome from a Grumman E-2 Hawkeye.
