Documents recently released show that the Russians fitted nuclear powered Tu-4's. The project was cancelled when reports showed signs of radiation poisoning on the crews medical exams.

Thanks Rheged.  There's a Rotodyne cutaway i've not seen before there.

Glad I was of service!   Fair warning to anyone looking at the cutaways. There's at least an hour of nostalgia here.

Kendra, thanks for giving me an opening to bring these cutaways to the community's notice. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Interesting, do you have a source?  I see references to the Tu-95 test bed here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-95LAL, but a quick goggle didn't show anything on the Tu-4.  Appreciate any links you have.  Thanks.
