Thistle dew, Pig - thistle dew!

Where am I going?  And why am I in a handbasket?

It's dark in the dark when it's dark. Ancient Ogre Proverb

Now that idea for changing the A-7 wing is just... brilliant! So simple yet effective for a completely new look... dangit, why didn't *I* think of that??!
Should work for others of the same planform, too.

Thanks, Scotaidh!

Oh - you're welcome, Mr. Lowe.  :)

Some old stuff, ~ early '80s to mid '90s. The colour side-views pieces were mostly, the aerodyne thingie being
the exception, drawn on regular bond/typing paper, inked, coloured with Prismacolor pencils, then cut out and
glued to 10 X 14 gridded bristol board sheets. Any other views were then sketched using the grid to line up the
views, a couple of them have really rough front-views that I cropped out. I've never been happy with the hover-tank
top and front rough in, so they're not included. The bug was drawn while enjoying cannabis and Brian Eno,
in particular Back in Judy's Jungle;)

The rest of the scanned stuff, primarily pencil, the flying-boat is inked.
The scans have been adjusted to lighten the background and darken
the pencil/ink lines. Smears etc. picked up over the years have also
been removed in Photoshop.

Good stuff Jon.

Yes, particularly like the second one down in the first post. Very insect like.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Nice work, Jon.  You say those are from a few years ago ... You haven't stopped, have you?  'Cos that'd be a shame.  I really like the twin-fin turbo-fan in your second post - looks just the thing for whacking insurgents.  :)  Or, a fun toy for the shamelessly rich.  :)

"Back in Judy's Jungle"; Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy), November 1974

https://youtu.be/rXYG-uKpiWg

These are your orders, seems like it's do it or die
So please read them closely
When you've learnt them be sure that you eat them up
They're specially flavored with burgundy, Tizer and rye
Twelve sheets of foolscap, don't ask me why.

We hit the jungle just as it starts to monsoon
Our maps showed no rainfall
All the boys were depressed by this circumstance
Trust in the weather to bless agricultural man
Who gives birth to more farmhands, don't ask me why.

Fifteen was chosen because he was dumb
Seven because he was blind
I got the job because I was so mean
While somehow appearing so kind

Drifting about through the cauliflower trees
With a cauliflower ear for the birds
The Squadron assembled what senses they had
And this is the sound that they heard

Back at headquarters khaki decisions are made
File under 'Futile', that should give you its main point of reference
It's all so confusing, what with pythons and then deadly flies
But to them it's a picnic, don't ask me why.

Thirteen was chosen because of his luck
Eleven because of his feet
One got signed up for exceptional pluck
Another because he was mute

Roaming about through the gelatin swamps
With a gelatin eye on the stripes
The Squadron assembled what senses they had
And this is the sound that they heard

Back in Blighty there was you
There were milkmen every morning
frak these endless shiny trees
Never used to be that way.

Reading those lyrics has reminded me I have a cassette tape (someone explain to the kids) of Eno somewhere.
I must dig it out and find something to play it on.
