Some of you may have noticed there was a little fire in North London on Monday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-42614789

This was the Rustins paint factory. https://www.rustins.ltd/rustins/ They say it was the warehouse that went up in smoke, not for the first time this century....
Rustins make paint for Hornby under the Humbrol banner. http://www.bluebridgeone.com/blog/Iconic-British-model-maker-Hornby-brings-Humbrol-paint-manufacturing-back-home.html

So there may be some shortages of Humbrol paint this year, though given the stocks in shops already it shouldn't be too bad. If you still use the stuff

As for the old Humbrol/Airfix factory in Hull? It's been totally redeveloped http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-28994525

Had a flick through Airfix catalogue in Smith's they seem to have thinned the range even before the fire

Q: What's the difference between enamels and acrylics?
A: The enamels burn longer!

Yeah, it's been re-done a good few years now, they struggled to sell the site so they re-developed it.  The new development replaced the second factory, the first was destroyed in a another fire in '88.  I remember watching the pall of smoke from my Nana's house.  Unfortunately a girl died and another was badly burned.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
