Dornier Do18 twin turboprop flying boat

Hi Guys,
I won a secondhand 1/72 Dornier Do18 on eBay which is in need of restoration.
I was searching through the internet when I came across a Greek proposal to modify the Dornier Do18 into an executive airliner. I'm not too sure whether this idea has been or is in the process of becoming reality but this gave me an idea.
I would change the engines to two turboprops. Delete the remaining gun turrets as these won't be needed.  The space at the front of the flying boat could have a new glazed canopy and the cockpit moved forward. Windows along the fuselage, either a raid in the spares box or clearfix applied. Got some seats left over from the Mach2 Caravelle. Replace the wing struts and change the colour scheme.
I think the model could be the Matchbox Kit.
I'm thinking of doing the same with the Dornier Do26.
