That's looking VERY promising Tophe.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks!
And my 8 y.o. son Jacky painted the underside:

The main side is now painted, and is drying:

Inspiring and intriguing. Do you have a story for it? My first thought was of a anti-ship missile carrier or missile testbed. And I wish my father had let me take part in his model building like that. If I have kids one day, I will copy you!  <_<

I still wonder in which direction this is supposed to fly...  :o

Tophe

Sorry, I have no story for it. I said in the title it was a fighter, I mean: a little airplane, but I am pacifist and I won't invent a military backstory... :-\
The direction is: fins at the rear, rockets pushing at last (even if my first project was jet air intakes in front). I know the leading edge should not be thin and the trailing edger should not be big, but this is a fantasy of mine: this is a desk model, not a prototype to fly actually... ;)

Now that is neat, Tophe ! Great to see you get the kids involved.

The Dakotov DP-3Z prototype is completed. According to some historians, this Soviet rocket 2-seat twin-fuselage fighter is a derivative of the Dakota cargo (!?)  :-\ ;D

Ebat!!!!   That turned out great, dude!!

Looks like a SPACE FIGTHER or something to me... could take off and go all the way out to a stable orbit.  ;D

Excellent usage of Sharpie, too.  ;D

Fab.  It's good to see your ideas in 3D.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
