Maritime Sud Aviation Caravelle

 I've tried in the past to use parts from the Airfix HS/BAe Nimrod on the Mach2 Sud Caravelle.
Although in the real world the nose and windscreen were licenced built de Havilland Comet Mk1s with Rolls-Royce Avon engines the two plastic 1/72 kits are not compatible.
Which gave me an idea of converting the Nimrod into an airliner, by removing all the obvious sensors and filling in all the windows along the fuselage. The windows would be created by using decals from aftermarket products.
For the maritime Caravelle I could use the vacform HS Nimrod Mk1 kit. AlleyCat provides a resin engine improvement set and a all metal landing gear can also be bought , wheels sold separately.
I would build the Mach2 Kit as per instructions but not attach the engines or wings and remove the vertical tail fin. The cockpit floor needs reshaping or removed completely and scratched built. Two glazed canopies are provided by Mach2 but I might use the clear vacform one as its a much better fit.
The upper middle section from the vacform kit would accommodate the new fuselage and hide any gaps with the Mach2  model. This would also strengthen the wings with spars passing through it. Parts removed from the Airfix kit could be added.
