I'm hoping I'm getting the R2-D2 and R2-D4 set for my 40th birthday, I put it on the list as on outside chance (I've got enough models, apparently)!

One my twin girls let something slip the other day though so fingers crossed.  I'll be made up if it's artoo and red, although it may be the set with BB-8.  I've really warmed to the little guy since seeing the latest film, so I'll be happy either way.

I'm not a great lover of C-3PO as a character (the older I get, the more he irritates me) but the model looks lovely, want one.

A new mould, or is it just a rebox of the Fine Molds kit (which used to go for insane prices after it had been discontinued)?

Hardcore Sci-fi modellers won't blink at a $400USD price, especially as it comes with just about everything
including a purpose designed lighting kit. If you know any 'studio scale' modellers they pay absolutely
gobsmacking prices for resin kits that are sometimes surprisingly crude. Bandai Perfect Grade are the
exact opposite. I know sci-fi modellers who easily end up spending a couple hundred bucks at least on
'improving' an Enterprise kit, and I'm not talking about the 1/350 kit, a package deal for that kit,
kit, lighting kit and paragrafix PE set will easily get you up to @$320USD and it's nowhere near a Bandai
PG kit in terms accuracy, detail and sheer build-ability. Bandai's kit engineering and moulding is unequaled
by any other current model kit producer.

Anyhow I wouldn't buy one for the half the price as the Falcon has never done anything for me, the
Snowspeeder is the only SW machine I like.

I picked up the 1/48 Bandai kit for $20.00. 
Gorgeous kit, definitely worth it.

Just came across this neat (and cheap!) accessory kit - mecha stuff, but I can see many other (whiffy) uses for it... a tiltrotor kit for an 1:144 Gundam robot, to be released in May 2018:
