Named for a well-known bird of eastern North America, the Spitfire Mk22 acquitted itself admirably at Reno, winning three Unlimited Class championships during its career.

The old old old Hawk/Testors kit, not accurate but nice lines and a quick build for a kid. Slow build for me. Might do a bit more with it yet, but for now I'm calling it done.

Thank you Ratty,
As soon as I saw that photo my mind said "Ye Gods someone has built the old Hawk kit", then I read what you said.
A "wonderfull" trip down memory lane.

Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Man that's a bright red.
Great colour scheme.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yup. I remember that old kit well.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

And my mind went to the SR-71....Guess she would need a rather wide course to clear pylons at Reno......

Looks good!

Can't find it at the moment, but there's a story told of an SR-71 coming back from a mission, and setting up for an approach to Beale AFB. The exact words are lost to me, but it went something like this:

"Approach, I'd like to make a turn to burn off some speed."

"Okay, how much space do you need?"

"Oh, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada should be enough."   ;D ;D ;D
