I've worn out The Googles and cantfind anything so I'll go the old fashioned route and ask...does anyone know of aftermarket 1/48 US B43 or B57 tactical nukes?  Or a kit that came with one or the other?

All I can find ar Mk28 and B61.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Shapeways does a 1/72 scale B57 nuclear bomb.  If you contact the creator, you might be able to get them to do a 1/48 version for you.

The Trumpeter Vigilante has the Mk43 and Mk28 included (yes in a recon aircraft  :o )

Trumpeter don't let a small detail like accuracy spoil their ideas of what would make a good kit...........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

But the Vigilante was designed as a nuclear strike aircraft with the dubious linear bomb bay,  recce only came later, so good on Trumpeter! I like having extra bits for the parts bin! The linear bay was retained for the RA5C, but for fuel, but believe the capability for nuke carriage in the and external store always remained. I know some were clamoring to use the vigilante for conventional strike, but recce deemed more important.
