Just what it says on the tin.

This is my version of the Wooksta's plan really. I have intentions to build versions of each type operated by not only every squadron in Israeli service, I also intend to build versions operated by other users. Topping those real world build off are the proposed varsions and derivatives and what if build.

Part of my plan is to attempt to keep track of what kit is for which build by employing a database and marking up each kit box with the intended build.

The current near future build are a Mirage 5J, a Kfir C10 and a Kfir C12. I am also planning on building a Nammer as an operational machine but I will have to get at least one more Kfir kit, if not two and preferably the AMK version so I have spare Hasegawa kits for not only an in service Nammer but also another one or two whiff Kfirs.

That's going to be the only fly in the ointment unless I can find a source for a conversion set.

Any builds I do will not necessarily be in chronological order, just in the order that I happen to want to build.

I have created a basic list of versions I know I want to build at the moment. The list also lists the kits I have for each build so far and what the intended build is for each, but that of course could change at almost any time  ;D

Starting a thread for a Mirage build, the Israeli Mirage 5J.

The build thread is here http://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php/topic,45119.0.html#new

Been getting a little involved with a build or two

Decided to turn a Hasegawa Kfir C2 into a Kfir C10, paint it in the Grey/Grey scheme and put Israeli marking on it. I am basing my conversion work for the C10 on the Scalework conversion set for the AMK kit.

The exhaust modification is an idea that I have been kicking around for some time, just never used it until now. Its quite simple, make a hole where the back end of the exhaust is and add the rear of a spare Hasegawa F-4 J79 engine. In this instance the engine for one of the earlier versions which was not being used.

Yes I know the two parts are offset, but as they were simply placed on top of each other for the picture I didn't think it would matter.

Here is the nose for the C10, in light blue is the resin version by Scaleworx with the tan Hasegawa kit above it

And here it is with my proposed donor shape, an F-15 style fuel tank from a Hasegawa F-4 kit

I admit that it's not perfect, but it will do as a basis to start with.
