Here's an idea Colin.

Since A-Model now have a 1/144th scale Canberra in relatively large-scale production and availability, why not scale down your P.12 conversion to match? 1/144th seems to be a growing field of interest at the moment.

An interesting idea, wish the A model kits were a bit better though! Agree 1/144 is getting quite popular, and is good for larger subjects to.

There are also plenty of Hunters about to scale your various conversions down to, and an excellent 1/144th Lightning has just come out too. Another thing you could do is a B Mk.2 conversion and PR/tanker conversions for the Micro-Mir Valiant.

Arggh - just realized: the Phase Six also had a different and bigger wing. That's probably getting beyond a simple conversion, even in 1/144th.
The Phase six also had a cockpit spine and a vertically-retracting nosewheel: the latter might or might not need different parts.

An easy and (I think) popular mod (which I've proposed before) would be the Vulcan flying battleship in 1/144th. The Phoenix version would be the easiest (short nose with a full radome) and if you wanted to keep the price down you could leave the modeller to find their own missiles from F-14 kits (very common) and just give them the pylons. The Sea Dart version would be more work and cost since you'd need the ventral radome as well and you couldn't buy the Sea Darts in from Fleetscale like you could do in 1/72nd. On the upside, if you were molding your own 1/144th Sea Darts, you could give them bigger wings as in some of the CF.299 illustrations.

Some other Vulcan mods (all in Vulcan's Hammer and various other books):

W.160 low-level Blue Steel with a Viper turbojet in place of the Stentor. It was basically a standard Blue Steel with a new back end and two 'sugar scoop' intakes on the side. You could do it as a mod kit for the existing missile molding in 1/72nd or as a whole missile in 1/144th.

Z.101 manned Blue Steel flight-corridor research vehicle in 1/144th. This was a Blue Steel with an X-15-style cockpit, a nosewheel and landing skids. Again, do it as a mod kit in 1/72nd and a complete vehicle in 1/144th.

Z.124 air-launched satellite launcher. This was essentially a conventional space rocket packaged to fit the Vulcan's bomb bay (semi-recessed). You'd have to make this from scratch in any scale, but it's pretty easy because it's just tubes and cones with an ogive nose cone,  eight triangular fins (PE?) and four angled nozzles (like Bloodhound booster nozzles) at the back. You could turn the body on a lathe in one or more sections and the nozzles too: space kit aftermarket guys already do this for nozzles and actually sell them in aluminium.

What about a simpler Wedgetail conversion set in 1/144 and 1/72 scale?
As the Boeing 737 seems to be a popular kit in 1/144 scale, the Wedgetail lends itself for potential whiffs in 1/72 scale.

Also a Boeing E-3 Sentry update set for the Revell 1/144, for the 1/72 Heller and Airfix kits.

Any improvement to the 1/72 Mach2 Super Frelon would be appreciated, as the Chinese have their own copy the Changhe Z-8. The Z-18Y Black Bat AEW would make an interesting build.
