Gorgeous!  Really shows how much the 4000 influenced the Rafale design. 
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Absolutely. Even now the USA/Israel relationship can be quite strained. If it had never fully developed I could easily see Israel going with the French as they started in the mid-1950's (if the France/Israel relationship hadn't soured, too).
