Following Operation Backfire

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Backfire_(World_War_II). The RAF were given the on going task of analysing captured German technology and developing it further if necessary as the possibilities of warfare had to be evaluated in the face of this new weapon .

Equipment and personnel captured in Germany and across occupied Europe were assembled and based at information redacted .

German techniques were analysed  and new ones were improvised and trialled .

"Loki" can be viewed at RAF Museum Cosford married the V2 to chassis of a German siege mortar .

Later critical analysis shows while it is in fact an impressive sight project Loki owes more to one man's enthusiasm than having any practical application as the Germans had already developed the V2 s mobility and transport system at a far more practical level...
