Hey guys, I'm looking for this stuff all in 1/72:

Douglas A-20C/Boston "Glass" Nose (Just the clear part)
250lb bombs and external racks/mounts (4)
B-25 Mitchell Dorsal turret

Douglas A-20C/ Boston Cannon/Machine Gun cheek bulges
OR
B-25 Cheek Machine guns

Can only really afford to pay shipping. Thanks guys!

Runway ? ...

I have all  the bits you need apart from the bombs from the the two obvious Matchbox kits.
An Airfix B25 will get you 90% of the look you're after on whatever subject and might be (yes I've got some) easier to obtain.
I've just used 250lb bombs from a P51 and Beaufighters for something else.

Take care.

So, got a complete 1/72 Matchbox B-25 kit from Runway, thanks again! But I still need US 250lb bombs, and external bomb racks.

I think the Airfix B-26 has multiple bombs in the bomb bay but I don't know enough about them to know what weight they are. What size would a 250 lb.  bomb be, lengthwise I mean?

In which case I have at least one B-26, maybe two.

Um, that's a good question I don't have the answer to, most USAAF medium bombers could carry both but I think they probably made the B-26 with 500 lbers. To tell the difference, the 250's are smaller than the 500's.

Well yes, I figured that.  ;D

But AFAIK the B-26 kit only has one size of bomb included so there's no way to tell the difference.

My feeling is that Airfix moulded most of their US medium and heavy bombers with 500lb bombs back in the day. The new tool MItchell certainly does have 500lb ones. I have had a look in my spares boxes and although I've got a fair few 500lb the only ones I have smaller than those are a lot smaller and would appear to be 100lb ? I also don't have racks I'm afraid.

Some of the new tool RAF stuff has 250lb bombs I think, however they are the distinct early war RAF shape.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

NARSES2

Right I just found this which may help with size comparison.

Looking at it mine are not 250lb I'm afraid

Ah, that may help Chris, thanks. I'll dig my Marauder(s) out and have a look see.
