I've seen them practice doing that Odiham, it looks very strange when there AREN'T any mountains nearby.

IIRC the US Army did it back in Viet Nam days too, there's a couple of pics of early Chinooks 'landing' on just their rear ramp on a high peak there.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
