I think the Wessex cockpit on the Sea King hull works best, the lower one of the two.

That might be worth trying in plastic too, I've got 2-3 Airfix Sea Kings and a box full of the old FROG Wessexes.

i was kinda thinking on a new project, an SH-3J Super Sea King, a military naval version of the S-61T Triton.

but i was wondering, if i would to replace the Rolls Royce Gnome engines, from the British Westland versions, with a pair of Turbomeca Makila 1A1 engines (like those done in the Puma HC.2) would there need to be any kind of external modifications?

I think the Malika is quite a bit longer than the Gnome, so they'd protrude over the top of the cab.

What it needs is the Wessex cockpit on the Sea King fuselage, but with the turbines up top behind the cockpit allowing a clamshell nose door...

And if you're adventurous make it a synchropter since cargo would come and go from the front end

The top one reminds me of the Westland Westminster.
But you'd probably have to use 1/48 Sea King and Wessex's which might prove a 'tad' expensive
