A few years ago I bought the Hornby 00 gauge 'Hogwarts Castle' loco and tender.
My intention was to modify it to the Hall class as depicted in the Harry Potter films which used the Olton Hall.
I'm not too sure why Hornby choose the Castle class when they already had the Hall class in stock or why they choose the maroon colour over the bright red. I can only assume that the carriages were British Rail Mk1 stock.
Hornby no longer sell the Hogwarts Express train sets or Hogwarts Castle although you can still buy the Hall class and through their range of Rail Road the Olton Hall but wearing the Great Western livery in a reddish colour.
There are update sets to improve the basic model and change the name plates. The Rail Road model doesn't come with the  loco light but is DCC ready.
Kingfisher also supply the name plates in different scales.
As for the livery this is subjected to copy rights and licencing.
Some whiffers have resulted in making their own for the tender and carriages.
Bachmann also did a train set and there was a 'O' gauge set with three rails, lighting in the carriages and on the footplate.
Lego also do various sets.
Metcalfe and Hornby do the Hogsmead Station building. There was a separate 'Platform 9 & 3/4 set which used Hornby Stock.
Otherwise it's a case of scratch building Kings Cross Station using the various station suppliers.
