Geez. Nice work TomZ! I did a double take on the first pic.  I thought you posted a reference pit and it took me a second to realize I was looking at the finished product.  I'd call that a win.

What scale are these? 1/72?

The first one has recessed vents instead of scoops behind a one-piece canopy and a "shortened" nosecone. However, the second one is missing wing fences and ventral fins but seems to have an extra fence around the rudder.

Am I seeing two kitbashes here, or just modified vanilla Hawks?

First one is, I suspect an Airfix kit, the second one a Matchbox kit?

They are both 1/72 and yes, one is an Airfix kit, the other matchbox.

As for the wing fences, they of course were omitted in the Welsh license built version of the Hawk

Now they are nice
