I have a Tamiya 1/350 CVN65 Enterprise. I want to do a what-if British carrier with it, however, the problem I have is airwing. I could use the Phantoms from the kit, but need Buccaneers, Gannets, Seaking's etc. I have seen some 3D printed Bucc's but they are £15 a piece !!!!
Any idea's where I could get a British airwing in 1/350 ?

Nick

I think the real problem is the lack of British modern carriers from 1945-1982 in 1/350 scale. There is nothing between the WW2 Ark Royal and the 1982 Ark Royal /Illustrious /Invincible. Without those there is no perceived demand.

You can get Gannets and Wessex by White Ensign on Ebay, hard to find.
Lynx and Sea King and F-4 Phantom are done by Trumpeter.

And of course the generic Phantom and Sea King from any USN carrier kit.

Thanks for the Gannet and Wessex info.

I just had a brainwave. Don't look for Wessex, look for the Sikorsky S-58 or H-34. There are far more of those out there!

Shouldn't be too hard to modify and in that scale who would notice little differences?

There's also a lot of Whirlwind and Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw in use through the 60s and 70s.

The Airfix HMS Victorious kit from some considerable time back had, I think, Scimitars and Sea Vixens if those would do as an alternative.

Added later.....cancel this suggestion, the Airfix kit was 1/600

I had that as a kid.  Hours of fun conducting small scale flight operations with those planes.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Try shapeways.com. I've found 1/350 aircraft there, and have been happy with the products I've ordered.
