Vallejo naval paint colors?

Anybody here build models with Vallejo paints? Anybody here familiar with WWII US Naval paints and camouflage measures? I found the following PDF document that lists Vallejo paints for naval vessels. But I'm really not sure how accurate it is as I've never used Vallejo before.

I am really itching to try and experiment with Vallejo to paint my Iowa carrier conversion model in a 1945 Measure 22 scheme. But I'm really not sure how accurate the Vallejo colors that are mentioned are for:
Navy Blue 5-N  -  Vallejo # 816
Haze Gray, 5-H  -  Vallejo # 905 (or 870?)
Deck Blue, 20-B. Vallejo #'s 867 (or 900)
Flight Deck Stain  -  ?

Vallejo acrylic paint is IME pleasant to use but is soft and damages easilly.  Oddly it stands up to masking tape well though.

Their colours are IMO not as accurate as those produced by others.  I base this opinion on their named paints being a different shade to the "norm".  By this I mean that Vallejo's Middle Stone (for example) is a noticeable different colour to the Middle Stone made by Tamiya and Gunze and that "usually" seen in photos (with the usual caveats regarding photos on the interweb).  I have personal experience of other RAF colours that this also applies to and some RLM shades.
Vallejo have also renamed some of their colours recently which could indicate that they are aware of their inaccuracies and are doing something about it.
However, the IMPS list looks good and would give me confidence that it was written from experience of actually using those paints rather than just looking at a list of Vallejo paint names and hoping they are accurate.  Shop by the numbers though, not by Vallejo's names.

My only experience with Vallejo has been with their primary colours and that has been a good one on the whole, although as Zen' says they can damage easily so I get a coat of Future/Klear on them a.s.a.p.
