...I like the idea of a half track, although I'm not sure where to source the tracks in 1/24 (but saying that I probably won't do any heavy conversion).  It's a problem that was touched on in the Meng thread, military vehicles in 1/35, civvy in 1/24 but not much cross-over in either scale.  I think I've seen some mentioned before, but I can't find them after much Google-fu.  Apparently Sherriff Roscoe's car by MPC has some.

Use 1/35 armoured vehicle tracks for A 1/24 half track.  I've used Tamiya 1/35 Bren Gun carrier tracks but with a Transit you might want something wider.  Leave out some road wheels to make them shorter.  T34 or Panther have always seemed to me to be suitable for this use.
As for weapons.  The 1/25 (close enough to 1/24) MPC/AMT Dodge Monaco which was boxed as the TJ Hooker car, Rosco's Patrol Car and the Jokers Goon Car/Gotham City PD Car has revolver, pump action shotgun, tommy gun and carbine.  Many many variations of this moulding have been popped out so you should be able to get something cheap and cheerful just for the guns.
The 1/24 Italeri "Armed Pickup" Toyota Landcruiser has a pintle mounted M3 (or M5) and their 1/24 Landrover also has some heavier guns.
AMTs 1/25 Hogans Heroes Jeep in its various reboxings has I think an M3 or M5 and a recoilless rifle of some sort.
More tommy guns, handguns and shotguns can be found in the various MPC (or maybe AMT) Gangbusters kits of late twenties/early thirties cars like Lincolns.  Unfortunately these are rare and probably not worth getting just for the guns.
However, given the popularity of building post apocalyptic zombie killing vehicles (not something i've found the need to do but it seems to be the in thing to do on some forums) there may be a source of resin re pops of the various AMT or MPC guns.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Ah but given the state of that poor dogs ears she is obviously resident in the US and I think Mossie intends a UK based build ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Preiser has a set of German WW2 weapons in 1/24:
https://www.preiser-figuren.de/preiser-56290-1:24-waffen-1935-1945-preiser-56290,art-18052

They also have a range of figures in 1/24 and 1/25 scales (most of them prepainted so prepare to mortgage your house, also if Wild West, Prussia, Middle Ages or Antiquities aren't your thing then the choice in those scales is not that great).

However, if you're willing to suffer a bit of scale-o-rama, then their 1/22,5 (II/Gauge 3 scale, they're a railroad model manufacturer first and foremost) lineup contains much and more contemporary subjects than just racers and pit girls. (Their 1/22,5 humans are 80mm tall, 1/24 75mm and 1/25 74mm.)

I haddn't thought about scalorama with the half track, worth thinking on.  I'd seen Sherriff Roscoe's car and I might be able to mod one of the weapons to a more British side-by-side double barrel rather than  the pump-action.  I've got a friend who might have one that I can steal the guns from too, although I saw him 1/2 an hour ago and forgot to mention it...

I've looked through Preisers range and although they're possibly too tall, (a six foot human ends up around 6' 5") their Adam and Eve naked figures will be very useful for conversion.  The only other thing is Adam is little athletic and beautiful for your average East End Villain, but a little putty can take care of that!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Don't worry, happy accident!  I'm looking to do some kind of Terminator diorama with some of the Pegasus endoskeleton figures.  I was planning to use 1/35 weapons (movie props are sometimes slightly underscale to make them easier to handle) but options for 1/32 will be helpful.

Found out the Police boxing if the Italeri Trannie is a whiff (others might say "inaccurate", I prefer the former).  The real B35 VYT was a lwb, compared to the swb in the kit
