Jon, the kit is really basic so the "fabric" texture is non-existent. Therefore, the issue is a non-issue. So, here's the back story:

In 1935, the Air Corps went to Wedell-Williams with a fighter contract for a high speed persuit interceptor. Their design didn't appeal, due to a lack of performance, but the Boeing Company saw potential in the idea and contracted with Wedell-Williams and created an all metal monocoque fuselage and wing version of the Wedell-Williams design, with a Pratt & Whitney R-1830-21 Twin Wasp two-row, 14-cylinder, air-cooled radial, with 1200 hp, which gave it a top speed of 313 mph.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

A an aside Bill Boeing was long gone by 1935.  ;)

Thread Revival!

Couldn't work on this due to a lot of things, but I'm back in the saddle! I couldn't snag a radiator scoop from any of my Spits, so it took a 1/144 centerline fuel tank from an F-16 and cut off the tip to make one. The interior has been painted in zinc chromate.

More progress has been made, the cockpit is coming together using parts scrounged. The engine from the B-25 is nealry complete. And I'm using the ski fixed gear and removing the skis to get a spatless fixed landing gear. Now the debate has turned to who uses it. Do I continue forward with a USAAC aircraft, or US Army Air Guard Aircraft, or a Cascadian Air Corps aircraft?

How about using one of these schemes?

Ought to be something there for you?

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Kieth, it was going to wear OD and Neutral Gray if it's USAAC or USAANG, and it would wear OD and Neutral Gray as part of it's Camouflage if it was Cascadian. But thank you for the information!
