Pretty much what it says on the tin. What if Hawkers got the go ahead for the P.1083 and then developed it to carry the Firestreak similar to the P.1109B?

Going to put this into 1 Squadron service though I have yet to look at a location or time frame for the aircraft.

Just to show how war parts were before starting the Group Build which is not very far at all. On a positive note, by combining both the projects into one airframe I same myself a Revell Hunter F6 as my original intention was to build both separately ;D

I initially had problems finding the instruction sheets for the two Silver Cloud conversion sets by Freightdog and had even dropped Colin a line through his web site. Glad to say that I have found both sets of instructions so I no longer require the assistance from Colin to replace them.

That should look good, the Silver Cloud Super Hunter wings are wonderful and fit so well to the Revell fuselage they might as well be molecularly welded!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I came really close to doing one of those until I decided I'd build a separate P.1083 and a P.1109B.  And Kit is right, the fit of the resin parts (having dry fitted some of them) is great.  I'd always planned a 19 Sqn finish - RAF Germany early 60's.

OK, thread reserection time. Adding the P.1101 to this build which means lot's more cutting and hacking up of a Revell Hunter  ;D

So I actually cut some plastic up and added some resin parts, the ventral air intake and exhaust from the Supersonic P.1083 kit

As you can see, the forward fuselage has been sawn off so that the P.1101 nose can be added.

Here are the two different noses, one of which looks as if it came from Monty Python's Life of Brian

Here is one of the P.1101 forward fuselage half's showing a very thick edge at the front, the dark line is a pencil line I added showing what will need to be removed to accommodate the P.1109B nose. The amount of resin that will be left makes me wonder if Colin made the walls of the sone for the P.1101 deliberately thick so this conversion could be done?

Here is the P.1101 nose held in place to give an impression of what it would look like if fitted

And here is the P.1109B nose help in place to give an impression of what it will look like and how much the nose will need to be re-profiled

Now, what am I going to do with these.....

P.S. this thread needs to be moved to the general build area please

Just a small amount of progress this week due partially to watching Great British Menu, but I have given the main cockpit parts a coat of Black.
