Mr. Pearce has done his typically excellent job of research and composition.

I love this photo.

Absolutely fascinating.  Thanks for the link JCF.

I don't know what those guys at  Napier were on back then, but it must have been pretty powerful stuff!  ;D

If that Nomad I Lincoln flew at the 1951 Farnborough display I must have seen it, but can't remember it sadly, it must have sounded amazing. But there were lots of Lancaster or Lincoln test beds displaying in those days.

As for a Nomad II being 'on display' at the Wroughton Musuem, we should be so lucky. The Wroughton Museum never seems to be open, despite having advertised open days which never actually happen. I've been there twice on such days to be met with closed gates and security staff who '.....know nuffin' about it guv.....'  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Interesting link.  Some of the mysteries of the Nomad are now resolved for me, at least.

And there we were wondering where all the stuff from Area 51 might have been moved to...
:o ;)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Leave a reply to the article with your Wroughton info, the author and other readers will be appreciative.
