U.S.S. Nathan James

Nathan James is a fictional character in the book and TV Series The Last Ship (which both have him as different US Navy Officers, the book has him as an Ensign, while the TV series has him as a Captain). The Star Trek universe will have him as a Starfleet Commander, during the Earth-Romulan War at the Battle of Cheron, valiantly sacrificed his life and his vessel to save the lives of his crew. A Walker-class exploration cruiser was named in his honor. That vessel. After surviving the Federation-Klingon War, was retired and turned into a Museum Ship, for the next 120 years... Kit is ready and unbuilt, needing to get 2370 era decals...

Catching up, here... this sounds great. I'd totally dig seeing a Trek build around here! It's been forever, it seems.

That Trek build is stalled due to lack of funds for decals needed

That seems to be a recurring problem with Trek building. It's why I only have a tiny smattering of kits and ... well, ZERO decals in the stash. As models and supplies goes, Trek ##@%@ is on the expensive side.

Actually, not as bad from what I've seen, just hard to find

You're right! I hope the availability gets better. You'll make it happen eventually I'm sure.

Try starship modeler.com. They used to have a store with Trek decals and such but I haven't checked it lately.
