How to make an underwater diorama

Amazing work there - I love this type of thing. Seen some awesome examples of this sort of diorama.

Have to admit, I'd be worried about that much resin heating enough to melt the model...

I'd build a box out of resin, just the sides, ever so slightly scuffed, and a wavy top.  Trying to encase the whole model in solid, very heavy, resin risks multiple bad outcomes, including dropping it on one's foot.
Right, yes, now I need to go do that.  After I move, I'll add this to the list, for displaying a submarine kit.  A box with threes side scuffed so it looks like underwater, and one side clear to allow the original model to be seen clearly.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

In that case, you'd probably find perspex a better alternative, with the top being some of the shower door stuff that was so popular a while back.
The trick, of course, would be to get hold of some of it...
