The replacement for the Lockheed F-35 Lightning II

 Reports indicates that the USNavy are already looking for the F-35 and Super Hornet replacement.
Whether or not the F-35C is intended to replace F/A -18 in models A and D as there's no two seater F-35 remains to be seen.
This could be a Whiffers paradise with a whole host of existing aircraft upgraded or whiffery,  something old, something borrowed or something blue/black/grey or white.

Given how long the period from first thoughts to fully in-service is nowadays it wouldn't surprise me if they are working on the replacement for the F-35's replacement, and I'm only half joking.
