RSAF Kfir C7

The RSAF, needing fast aircraft for both interceptor and mud-moving duties, heard that IAI's deal with Taiwan for 40 Kfir C7s had fallen through, stepped up and scooped the lot.  The open-ended contract included personnel, maintenance, spares, and training in exchange for Scottish oil.

Here's my impression of one of those aircraft, Red 2

This just to show the visual identifiers on Israeli aircraft and their Scottish counterpart markings

The aircraft were painted light blue over grey with darker grey stippling above and below

The real story:
This model was of a Kfir F21 - a designator for an aggressor aircraft in the Navy's Top Gun school.  The model lost its canopy and pitot tube during a house move, and has been sitting on a shelf waiting for  ... literally years.  I unexpectedly found the missing canopy, so I taped it to the model and considered What To Do With It.  A simple restoration seemed too boring, and Dizzyfugu had recently showed us his 'Waving Flag' Scots Gripen ... I don't pretend to his skill level, but I did have all these printed RSAF decals lying about, making the place untidy ...  :)

BTW, that pitot was a real PITA.  As you can see from the different lengths of it in the pictures, there were several iterations of it.  The short one was the final one ... third or fourth, IIRC ...  And yes, that one missile is mis-aligned - I blame gremlins.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Clan Donald, all the way.  :)  My grandmother was a Macdonald from Inverness; my grandfather was  a Macdonald from Jura.

Nice ! Always like to see a bit of colour or flash on a bird. The camo is very effective as well. Looks like a bunch of cats walked through coal and then jumped on the aeroplane lol

I read RSAF as Royal Saudi Air Force, and was thinking what's the backstory for that?!

Nice build👍🏾
"Inconceivable!"

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Dizzyfugu

Nice. Kfirs are always cool.

Even though I expected an unlikely Saudian or Singaporean aircraft behind "RSAF"...  ;)

To be honest, I don't think much of, or about, the Saudis, so that didn't even enter my mind.  Is that why you went with a different acronym, Dizzy?

Yes! But I also did not want to call my fictional Scottish air arm an "air force", rather a "smaller" air corps as part of a small army, somewhat inspired by Ireland.
