I know there are Spitfire experts here and I request some assistance.  In researching local stories fot some work with a local school I asked in another thread for Squadron markings for 603 Squadron.

Now I have found details of the actual aircraft flown in 1939 by Flight Lieutenant Patrick "Patsy" Gifford, Leading Red Section, was "A-Apple" (XT-A) L1070 of 603 Squadron, named "Stickleback".  I'd like to make this particular aircraft.

Would I be correct in assuming night/white undersides with no roundels for October 1939?  There appear to be some aircraft with Type A and others with Type B fuselage roundels which is most likely?  And none appear to have either tail fin stripes or serial numbers.  The colour picture shows Sky undersides but I am fairly certain that was later (June 1940?).
So in the absence of a photo of XT-A what would be "best guess"?

Many thanks
By a strange coincidence my caravan is just about where the Ju88A-1 he shot down crashed!

I found these pictures

You may want to try asking this on Britmodeller.com too (if you haven't already).
