Rebanian space yacht, May 2220


The ship:

Space yacht of the rebanian multimillionaire Scra-Be. who made a fortune exporting Piegov eggs. The symbol on the side is a stylized Piegov.

The Rebans live on the planet Icin, 1426 light years from Earth. In 2127, Icin was discovered by an explorer ship from Earth. The Rebaners, which resemble upright walking bears (the size of an adult Reban can vary from 20-160cm) were about to take their first steps into interstellar space.
Using very efficient and sophisticated ion propulsion systems that could accelerate a spacecraft to about 10% of the speed of light, the Rebaners wanted to start an expedition just 1.2 LJ away from the neighbouring system.
But due to the contact with the earth the technical development of the Rebaners took a steep upswing, so that they could build their first spaceship with a faster than light speed only 15 years after the first contact.

The Rebaners' main export source is the eggs of the Piegov bird, an approximately 2.5-metre-long flightless bird that is remotely reminiscent of a falcon. The consumption of Piegov eggs has an intoxicating effect on humans without the danger of dependence.
It is therefore not surprising that these eggs met with a huge demand on all worlds inhabited by humans. Many Rebaner - like Scra-Be - therefore make a fortune by breeding Piegov birds and exporting the eggs.

Due to the Reban's fascination with everything of the Earth, it is not surprising that they also like to emulate designs of the Earth on their spaceships, as in this case.

The model is in scale 1:500 (6 cm diameter) and printed with an Anycubic Photon in resin. Painted with Revel Aqua Color, the decals are from the leftover box.

We need a Scale Reference Cat to properly appreciate just how small that is.  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
