My entry, AMT Silhouette.  Show car built by Bill Cushenberry in the 60's, complete with trailer that acts as a garage for the car!

I'll be building the car on it's own as I've got separate plans for the trailer.  Like a lot of AMT car kits, there's several options, stock, custom or race/drag.  I'll be building it in the racing version, similar to the image in the third pic.

If I've time (and I'm starting late) I'll make some mods.  Something like the racing version from the Hot Rod Bunny blog:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

What a cracking looking car!

I've never seen an actual kit of it, even back then when it was current. Looking forward to your build.

Nice to see a car in the 1WGB.
Good luck.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks, I'll need it.  Still haven't started due to some 1/1 house repairs.  I'll hopefully start this evening, slim chance I'll finish on time as next weekend is pretty booked up too.

Got to admit I thought of you with this kit, so much potential for both the car and the trailer.  I got it cheaper than the going rate and I count it as two kits so I'm quite happy.

There's an old article  from Rod and Custom Models to convert the trailer to a Deora like pick up (scroll 1/3 way down):

Ha! A cracking mag R&C, when you could get it of course.

And by an amazing co-incidence the first post after that one is by ME!   ;D

I missed that, so it is!  I had a feeling that'd be your kind of publication.

Going back to your earlier post it's a beauty isn't it?  The car even got a cameo role in Thunderbirds as a Police Car:

That's interesting as it sets the scale of the T'birds land based scenes as 1/24.

I believe 1/24 is a standard scale for film and TV models, with larger scales used for closeups and detail shots.

Still not started  yet, hit a few snags with the repairs so carried on into the evening. I've more to do tomorrow so I'm very unlikely to get finished by the deadline but I'll see how I get on.

It might be a bonus if I don't, with more time I'll be able to do the mods I want.
