The october issue of Aeroplane magazine has a feature article on the Valiant B.2 low-level pathfinder version. Lots of detail and a good read.

BTW Mods: there are at least FOUR Valiant threads in this section of the site. Might be a good idea to merge at least some of them?

Here are the other three threads I found:

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'll just leave this here.

RAAF wanted Vulcans in the early 60s but the Air Ministry said no, but you can have a squadron or two of Valiants based in Australia under RAF command.  The RAAF response was predictably unprintable.

I still want to do an RAAF Vulcan but after fighting one Airfix old tool Vulcan this week, I'm understandably not keen to do another.

The Valiant pictured above was here to conduct Blue Steel tests.  It was operated by the RAAF ARDU (Aircraft Research and Development Unit) and was apparently got at by paint wielding Australians while it was here.

Given the state of this World of ours I can just imagine the conversation with a group of 20 somethings who think its photo-shopped (or whatever the term is) and you going "no, it's real"

Actually, isn't that serial one of the options in the Airfix kit?
