Just been looking at some old threads off here whilst looking up the delta III, has this aircraft got as far as kit form, or have I missed the boat wanting one. Or have I just prodded a sleeping hornets nest??

Nope, I scratch built a couple but its never got as far as full kit as yet. Its a big bird and therefore somewhat expensive to produce in resin.

Been working on a idea based around using the Matchbox Hunter two seater cockpit and the Heller Dassault IVP. They are a good fit,  still on the bench awaiting my attention.

That's a shame is that Geoff, one would look good next to my Avro Archer when I have finally completed it

The FD3's impressive, but not exactly a thing of beauty to my mind, unlike the Avro Arrow.

It's that canopy that spoils it I reckon, something a little less angular would have looked a lot better.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The canopy does look wrong to me too, it really doesn't belong on that aircraft. I dare say it would affect the aerodynamics of the whole thing.

I believe Spot On Designs owned by Joe Cherrie (tsrjoe) is working a 1/72 kit.

Bit of  a bump, but one of the lads in my local club is working on a 3d printed one in 72nd.  I believe it's a desktop flying model and no prices are available yet, but I'll say more as and when I hear it.

Looks like he's also working on a Saro P.187 too.

There is a guy who has a page on Facebook who makes desk top models of them, it could be the same kit. He has been making big scale vulcans and TSR 2's too amongs other exotic stuff

That's the one Lee, I  was very tempted by one of their  kits but the size of it meant I wouldn't be able to  display or store it safely.
