Does anyone know precisely what grey the late ones were painted in?

Oh, and the exact grey for their Airbus A300 tankers would be handy too.  Looks similar to Halfords primer?  Is this indeed the case?

This page - http://www.f-111.net/models/hawkeye/pages/1-%26-6sqn-print.htm - gives the grey on the standard late F-111 as Gunship Grey.
FS number is hard to read but other references give Gunship Gray (sic) as FS-36118.
The Hobby Colour Converter app on my phone gives a whole heap of equivalents but does not seem to include Halfords primer.

This link might also be of interest.

Can't help you with the A300s.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Gunship Grey's quite a bit darker than Halfords Grey Primer. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Halfords primer is a very good match for FS36118.  Found this out when painting a modern Czech scheme, I could barely tell which was the paint and which was primer.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Good enough for me - that's me RAAF Victor tanker sorted.
