As the lid says, What colour is a Valiant's bomb bay?

Good question, and there is only one left, and its bomb bay has been closed for as long as I can remember.

The only pic I've ever seen of it showed that it was white, like the outside, but who knows what colour they were while in service.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Airfix suggests aluminium (Humbrol 56), and this pic from an all-white Valiant makes this quite plausible:

Could also be a light grey, though (RAF Light Aircraft Grey, maybe?), or even white - AFAIK the Vulcans had white bomb bays, so this would be plausible for the Valiant, too.

Decided to take the easy way out - closed bomb-bay. :banghead:

Smart. And a not overseeable reason why I always build mine in flying condition, i.e wheels up.  ;)
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
