Turbo prop De Haviland Heron MkII

Curiosity got the better of me  10 minutes ago  and thus had me getting  my new release  airfix  Heron off the pile and my very old release  airfix  jetstream, to see if the engines  and propellers would  fit on the Heron. Engines are a near as damn it perfect  fit, so I  was chuffed with that, the propellers  on the other hand are way to big  buggerations. I  shall look for the spare  ov-10 propellers I have and see if they are smaller in diameter  and perhaps use those. I shall keep you  posted.

I have just  tried the Bronco  propellers  and they are too big too, I  think  that they  would  need too much  cutting off to be honest  Kit, as the original  2 blade propellers are  a lot smaller  and I think  the blades would  look  wrong  with so much  cut off. I have  looked in my spare props box and only have a  pair of possible replacements, so I will have to  do some  more research.  Good job I have nowt better to do isn't it

I haven't  unfortunately  as I  only build  1/72nd scale stuff, if I can  find the diameter of  propellers that could  fit the bill and scale them down, i could  perhaps  find some  aftermarket  ones I  suppose. All good fun.....

That looks the part Jaybee, and if I  look at what else used those engines, I  could  probably  narrow down what propellers would fit

Thanks to  Jaybee, I have  found  an aircraft that uses the same Pratt and whitney  engine  as the aircraft in the link. Embraer/ shorts  tucano propellers will.work as the engines are not in line, but staggered along the wings  the propellers  are passing each other one behind the other if you  know  what I mean.  4 sets  of toucano propellers  are now on the shopping list i will now see if Airfix will send.me 2 pairs of complete  engines  from the re released  jetstream  kit.
