There's been a few significant 80th anniversaries so far this year (e.g. Dunkirk) and of course the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain looms large in some countries (there was a BoB 75 GB).

With all this in mind I was struck by the number of '1940' whifs I've built over the years I've been a forum member, the most recent being for the 2020 1-Week GB.  So I thought I'd bring them all together in one place - feel free to add your own.

Blackburn Skua III, 800 Sqn Fleet Air Arm, HMS Ark Royal, March 1940

Morane-Saulnier MS.405, 2me Escadron, Aéronautique Militaire Belge, Schaffen-Deist, May 1940

Gloster Guardian II, 112 Sqn RAF, Helwan, May 1940

Vickers Wellington I, 217 Sqn RAF, St Eval, July 1940

Dewotine-Vickers Spitfire I, 234 Sqn RAF, Middle Wallop August 1940

De Havilland Comet, Photographic Reconnaissance Unit RAF, Heston, August 1940

Hawker Hurricane Ic, 32 Sqn RAF, Hawkinge, August 1940

Messerschmitt Bf109E-4, 374a Squadriglia Regia Aeronautica, Ursel, October 1940

Kurtisch Ku-109E-4, 6/JG52 Luftwaffe, Peuplingue, October 1940

Those are some pretty smart models you've built there Dave. Excellent stuff.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Some neat builds there Dave
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Nope, scrap Airfix P-40 Kittyhawk.  Airfix rag-wing Hurricane wings would be better (but the model was made using an unwanted Airfix Gladiator and stuff from the spares box) - https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=21074.msg299159#msg299159
