Armstrong Whitworth jet powered Argosy FASS ACLS

I managed to find a 1/72 Mach2 Armstrong Whitworth Argosy C.1 which was partially built for a bargain price on eBay,  there were additional metal etched components for the Airfix Avro Shackleton MR. 2 but some of the parts on the Mach2 kit were broken. A quick rummage in one of my spares boxes and I found four jet pods from a B-58 Hustler,  these could be altered to fit, instead of the Rolls-Royce Dart engines provided in the kit.
The fuselage has been glued together with the rear doors,  cockpit,  cockpit glazing and nose radome. Twin boom, and wings are also fitted but no glazing for the fuselage has been added.
I'll assemble the landing gear to see how much ground clearance there is before deciding on which variant to build.

The fan blades from the 1/72  B-58 Hustler fit the fronts of the Mach2 Argosy model,  well three went on smoothly and one will need a bit of putty. I'll have a rummage for the jet exhaust pipes, the smaller ones from a Harrier look promising.
These have been replaced with the ones from the Hasegawa B-47E,  I'm considering the air cushion landing system used on the XC-8A instead of the standard landing gear.

Let us know how easy or difficult that kit is. If I can ever find one there has long been a flying boat version occupying my twisted mind.

This is an update.
The six jet engined variant of the Mach2 A.W. Argosy now has the Cammett BAe Nimrod AEW.3 front radome and a modified rear radome glued to the loading ramp. The rubber 1/144 hovercraft skirt looks the business as this has replaced the landing gear. I just need to fill in some of the fuselage windows and decide a paint scheme.
It could be amphibious,  operating out of jungle or swamp areas,  although it would need a calm sea to take off or land on.
