Not many of you will recognise what this is.
It is a What If Mug. A very small number of these were produced by Lenny 100 and his wife Dianne.




I was given one of them by Lenny and Dianne, a few years ago, and apart from the ones that they kept for themselves PR-19 Kit was the only other recipient of one of these.
Now, the inevitable has happened. I was washing it, my hands were wet as was the mug and I dropped it. It was only 2-3 inches above the draining board, but.....





I was absolutely gutted by this as it has meant so much to me.
Then Grace (Mrs. Jaybee) suggested that I use superglue to put it back together ( it can never be used for drinking again) but repurpose it.
So it now holds my paint brushes, and sits on the modelling table.




My sanity has returned!

If you epoxied it back together again Jim you could have carried on drinking from it. Mrs_PR19 and I had quite a number of our favourite mugs that were in that state, and I still use them to this day.

Or I would if I was at home anyway............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Good save Jim! 

Happened to me just before lockdown.  It belonged to someone else at work, it was very special to her.  Special edition, managed to get one from Japan and cost me twenty odd quid!  Then I managed to fix the other with epoxy so now she's got two, although the fixed one has can't be used as it has a tiny hole in it.

All from dropping it a few inches!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Epoxy can melt.  Especially if subjected repeatedly to boiling water as it would be if it was used to repair a tea pot.
Don't ask me how I know this.

I obviously don't take my coffee too hot then.  ;D

Some of my glued-together mugs must be over 20 yrs old by now.

OK, but it's not as exciting as you both imagine.
It was a repair for a friend who had knocked the knob off the lid of her favourite tea pot.
I glued it back on for her with araldite but the heat from the steam of a freshly made pot caused the epoxy to melt and the knob to detach when she held the lid on whilst pouring.
