Looks like Squadron hobbies in the US have closed their doors. 

Cant say I'll miss them that much.  They used to stock a great selection and had some good specials.  I've ordered a lot from them over the years but it seems the selection recently had really gone downhill.  All they seemed to stock anymore was HobbyBoss and a handful of other manufacturers.  I think in the last year I maybe ordered one kit from them.

I read on social media that a new CEO had moved them more in the direction of memorabilia and diecast.   Sad to see another long time retailer gone though.

Which just goes to show that that particular market is not as strong as most retailers seem to think, & that it's their modelling section that's keeping their businesses profitable.

I just went to their website and it said "Store closed for renovation". Wonder what that really means.

It means they are hoping to sell the business, or at least the name and web address.
