Hmmm, a whole lot of opinionated people on that Forum for sure! And only American people too, ignoring the fact that Connies did it as well.

Not that I could prove it, but I reckon it had something to do with the wing incidence angle relative to the fuselage. To get the wing to STOP flying when they were landing it needed to be at a small angle of attack relative to the air flow, and if the wing was at a large incidence angle relative to the fuselage that would induce a nose down pitch on approach and landing.

The wing incidence on a Beverley is pretty large, and that's from personal observation......

Love the guy emphatically stating that it's a bad landing, incompetent pilots, trike gear air craft aren't designed
that way etc., regardless of the quote from an experienced C-97 pilot talking about the landing tendencies of the
B-29 and its offspring.
;D

If you look at the Guppy link someone claims it's just the camera angle and they don't really land that way.

Ah the wonders of the interweb.  So many "experts".

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Rubbish, I'm probably older than ALL of them, and I SAW them do it!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Especially on Nannybook, when they go from virologists/epidemiologists, to election experts, and back, then to international affairs experts.

Why doesn't this surprise me?

The Mandela Effect dream only happened once, I saw the nosewheel landings, with various types, MANY times.

The Sahara  1/72 model is now available on Ebay at £113 and the postage is free,  I still think I can build a kitbash version using the Mach2 Argosy without the twin-booms.
