Built from captured German plans during world war two  The Pipistrelle proved to be quite  a  good perform after the right engines were  developed for it, and entered service  as a day fighter. A 2 seat radar fitted  night fighter version , was developed  but was cancelled in  favour of the  meteor night fighter. The kit is the Planet models  Heinkel p1079 B, nice  easy kit to build  but is a terrible  tail sitter due to nowhere to  put any  nose weight.

It looks like a twin engined de Havilland DH 108!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I like that Chris

I built it a few years ago, and as you say it's a nice build as most Planet kits are. Ended up gluing mine to a small base because of the lack of space for nose weight.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I certainly enjoyed building it  too Chris  even though there isn't  much of it to build  ;D
I think I will end up gluing it down on to something  too.
Cheers

Some, if not most Planet kits go together so quickly and easily that they can be quite relaxing. You can concentrate on the finish  One of my favourite resin brands

Not sure about the aerodynamics, but a cute looking model - I like it.
