Looks great. It made me think of an intruder. Cannon in the bay and external bomb load.

Nice work. Seamless blending into a RW setting

Cheers guys.

Of course I now have a new Airfix Defiant without a turret.  I have a number of ideas including one involving the twin 20mm turret from the Airfix Shack...

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Or a single seat fighter variant ? Did one eons ago when I was still a youngster with the original Airfix tooling back in the 60's.

Yeah, I know the feeling, I have THREE of them, thanks to various projects that didn't quite work, but one did, thank goodness.

Sadly there's only one single seat Defiant you can build really. :(

Kit;

How about a tri-motor single seat PR bird with extended wings ;)

I like that idea VERY much!  :thumbsup:

A pity those Defiant wings are so ugly, but I'm sure I could improve them.  ;)

I did one of those in about 1965.  4 cannon in the wings and rockets under them.    A sort of British Sturmovik.

I have been thinking about downward firing rockets housed in the space where the turret was.

Also a backdated open cockpit dive bomber version with a single lewis on a scarfe ring and spats.

About the time period mine would have been built in, just before girls came on the scene  ;D

I like that idea. Or maybe give the pilot a canopy and the TAG a simple open cockpit and scarfe ring ? After all the FAA seems to have been wedded to a concept of a multi place crew and what do the ratings need a canopy for anyway ?  :rolleyes:

I could revisit the concept of using the undercarriage leg covers as dive brakes which I used on the Wowhawk.
