Thanks folks :thumbsup: I certainly learnt a few things building this one, and there are certain things like the skin for the wing surfaces that I would do slightly differently should I do something similar in the future.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

REALLY long wings!  :thumbsup:

What's not to like?  :wub:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Paper Kosmonaut

Wow, this plane really looks fascinating! The frame of the X-3 with the long wings and T-tail is absolutely a feast for the eye. And you did a nice job on skinning the wings with plastic. I have trouble doing that with paper at the moment. (-;
As far as the backstory goes, like Dave already said, I too see this plane here more as the one that could have easily beaten the U2 in a competition. The wing is beautiful but certainly not the ideal wing for mach 2. But it really is a pretty plane. And of course it is a what if, and well, in that case, anything goes, right? (-;

Lovely job. Can't remember what happened to mine but it certainly didn't get this kind of treatment.
