The Dutch got Douglas DB-8A/3N'  in real life.
It did occur to me a more robust (fixed under carriage) 8A-2 might have been obtained for use in the colonies alongside the D-XXI which was designed as a frontier fighter.
Leaving the Do-17s and Hurricanes to the European theatre.

Just a thought.

Give it a trousered gear, like the Gamma 2C/YA-13/XA-16, and stick a heavy MG/cannon in each one.
The Northrop Model 8/A-17/Douglas 8A was a development of the Gamma by way of the Gamma 2C.

The Gamma 2E, which is pretty close to the XA-13, was purchased by China and one ended
up in Spain. Azur do the 2E in 1/72nd.

This is the Northrop 5B which is the closest of all to the A-17/8A.
